I track my January's spending and this is how much I've spent :

I'm going to write down what I spend on this Friday probably. Eum... I should learn how to stick to spending less... >.

My cousin loves her 16th birthday present!! I bought a teddy bear with a beautiful tear drop necklace with a nice card. I didn't have the time to go buy her a cake so today I went to the dessert shop and bought it. I gave it to my cousin and she loves it! The total price of the presents? less than 21$. It was a tiny bit over my budget plan but it was okay. I was thinking of buying her a picture album to put our pictures but I didn't have any. I decided that I should go look for one and start taking pictures of us together!! Hehe ^.^

Today I spent 1.14$ on balloons made out of heart that I was planning to make a pinaita out of it but it blew on my face... It hurts like hell.. I was uncoucious for half an hour... What a waste!! And I thought the balloons will be a little bigger than that!! I also bought dog stuff for Strawberry... So far, she likes her new kind of food better than her old one and she likes the "kong" toy that I put treat in it. She has a hard time getting the treat out. The little cake cost me 5.18$ and it's beautiful. It would have save me 2$ but I add a little spicy chocolate on top of it to make it looks nicer. ^.^" Her dad thinks I'm a big spender... Guess he doesn't know me well enought... Haha

I forgot to write no spend day on the 27th. ^.^" And I clean my room yesterday and I quit my habit of procrastinating for it. That makes 761$

Yesterday dinner was fun. Although I paid half of my cousins meals because I owe them on something (long story). I spent around 70$ included bus tickets (for myself of course). I would have save 10$ if I haven't order ice creams for them and me because I don't want to eat another sushis again (I was sick of sushis). I paid part of their meal with my gift money including tips and I paid my own meal with my tips money from work.

I also save on that day because I don't need to ride the bus(2$) to go home and we decided to walk to my dad's grocery store instead of taking the metro(2$). In total I saved 4$.

New challenge amount : 765$!

I think I got a disease... I can't help but feel like I need to have a million dollars in my bank xD. Although I'm far from that amount. I want to have lots of lots of lots of money.

My millionnaire plan for tomorrow :

1. Study math tomorrow at my work place really early in the morning to see my friend.

2. Recycle cans tomorrow at the grocery store for my challenge money.

3. Go eat in a sushi buffet tomorrow with cousins to celebrate the late birthday of my cousin who just turned 16 yesterday.

4. Go home and do more math.

5. Sleep early.

I didn't spend a dime today!! Yay! Another 1$ add in my challenge money and I'm almost done with my French homework... So 2$ add for finishing a part of my homework!!

I was shock that my cousin whom her 16th birthday was yesterday got 700$ by her family relatives. She has almost the same amount as my challenge money. When I turned 16 last year, I only got 200$ from my grandma. I guess she's lucky to have such generous family. If I receive 700$, I would have put it in my challenge money but if I received it last year, I would have spend it in Vancouver... O.O" Eum... I wonder what she'll do with that money... She's not richer than me. =D I beat her by 54$ now hehe. Hope she'll save it but I wouldn't be too sure. I don't know if she knows how to handle that much money and she's going to receive another 400$ or so in Chinese New Year while I get 70$. Man I just wish I was born in her family instead of mine. xD Except I'll probably won't turn into a frugal person if I was part of her family.

Anyways, today might be a no spend day. I'm currently trying to do my French homework for Wednesday and later on if I have time, I'll start doing my math homework. I got two days off from school might as well use those time to finish my homework so I won't have a lot of homework for this week and next week to come.

Well I earned 1$ today because I spent no money... Except that I went to eat with my dad but it was him who pays our meal.

New challenge $ : 754$

We went to Harvery's to eat lunch and I have three coupons, buy one hamburger and get the second one free. We could have four hamburgers for half of the price and two hot-dogs for the price of one and order a big fries with small drinks for the six of us and we would have save more than 8$. Dad was in a hurry so he didn't take a look at the coupons and order combos with it. I told him that the combo does not included with the coupons and he orders anyways...Thinking that it will work. In the end we waste food especially fries. We spend 33 something on the meal. We could have save more than that!! >.

I think I'm ready to join the 2007 20$ challenge. Hope it'll motivate me to find more ways to cut back on my spending ^.^". My goal is 4 000$ so I'm keeping the amount I have from last year.

A little update on my challenge money:

Yesterday, no spend day (1$), I bought my own lunch (cost me 4$ usually) and I exercise (played basketball and musculation) at lunch time (2$) Total money earned yesterday, 7$. That makes 751$$.

Today, I spent 5.43$ on food and 1.25$ for donation for an organizations in school on protecting the tropical tree. Oh yeah, I received my mark today on ECC class and I got a 89%. I was expecting a higher mark than this but I guess it's okay. Another 2$ on my challenge money. So that makes 753$ today!

I'm going to get a beautiful certificat this term for improving my English!! Hehe! I'm so happy! I guess the hardwork has finally paid off. ^.^ This week has been great so far!

On to other things... I don't know if I should sign up to tutor the students... I get pay minimum wage and it's only three hours a week. I have a part-time job already though. I could be a tutor replacement if ever one of the student can't come at a certain day. Well I guess I should forget about it. I rather go home and have some free time.

By the way... Today no spend day!! I made lunch today xD... And I exercise... So 3$ in my challenge money. 745$!!

Geez.. A lot of things happen in a few days. First, my dad's grocery store was half burned last Friday and the grocery next to it was completly burned so he has to close it. He now works at his second grocery store. I see him more often now since his shift hours has been reduce by a lot and we eat at home. I guess I feel okay about it although we don't talk much like usual.

I started this week with a bad start... Well Monday, I was thirty minutes late in school and the first period was my French exam. Unfortunatly, I couldn't take back this time because I don't have any paper that motivate my absence... So yeah, after class, I asked the teacher if it's possible to take it back and she lets me. Well the truth is... I cried a little bit because I'm afraid of failing the exam, I can't fail anymore exam or else it's going to put my French average down to the 50's and the grade will go directly to my college application. So all of you who think it's no big deal and I can catch up on the next exam, it is a big deal... NOW. FRENCH is one of the most important subject to pass in QUEBEC in order to get the DIPLOMA.

Today, I came to school around 8:25 am to finish my French exam from yesterday and at the second period, I got my grade and I got 80%!! It's going to bring my average up!! YES!! I also got my book report mark... Another 80%!! YES!! I also got my personal project mark for French enrichi with my team... 93%!! YES!! Hehe ^.^ Oh yeah, I got my oral presentation mark... 72%... Let's just say, I'm the worst in my class... Everyone in my class are 82% and up. *sigh* Ah least I didn't fail... Right? I was never good in presentation. I have improved a lot from 50's-60's to the 80's... I think I made a little place for myself in enrichi. Although, I wasn't suppose to be there but I'm willing to work to get my grade up. My 45% in written production will be cover up by my other exams although the 45% is already half of my year report card and I need to pass the one in May with an 80% to pass or else I have to redo it again next year and postponed my entrance to college.

So yeah... I think that's all for now. I'll update my challenge money later this week. I need to go sleep. =P

I learned from a coworker of mine that it's useless to talk on people back and it just going to bring a bad atmosphere for me if I'm around the person that I don't like. Well looking at my parents who like to talk on people back a lot, they always have arguments and such. At my dad's side of the family, his brothers and him hate on each other. I don't want to be like that... I'm going to try really hard not to talk on people back... I'm just going to let it go.

Also, I'm going to try to stop procrastinate! I'm going to sleep early tonight so I can wake up early to study... .________."

Today no spend day, cleaning day and I exercised... I have 4$ in my challenge money for today.

I'm going to be done with the second term soon... I haven't write anything for awhile eh? Well... Last week, I spent all my five days of school on lunch. I guess I was busy with exams and such and I don't have any time to pack my lunch. I'm going to start buying groceries tomorrow and pack my lunch. I'm back on the frugal ways!!

I'll be updating my challenge money later today, I'm going to start studying my French exam for Monday now.

10th January : 2$/wake up early, 1$/no spend day. Total: 684$

11th January : 2$/wake up early, 2$/quit habit, 2$/ quit another habit, 1$/No spend day, 1$/cleaning, 10$/repay back. Total : 702$

12th January : 2$/wake up early, 8$/ repay back. Total : 712$

I have save 712$ so far!!

I have to get back on my studies now.

P.S : Strawberry is my dog. It's a Cocker type and I still have her but we need to give it away soon to a family... I'm not sure when though.

I swear that it's not the first time he broke his words... He said that he'll be responsible for Strawberry! I feel so bad... I told him at the beginning that I'm not responsible for her and he better takes good care of her. A week later and he nearly forgot about her. Just... What the heck?

I don't think Strawberry should stay in this family, it's not a good environnement for her. I tried to love her as much as possible and I tried to discipline her too... Sometimes, it's just too much. I just started school yesterday and I hardly have any time for her since exams are coming up next week. I'm going to give it away to a good family... I will never ever trust my brother again. He's lacking in responsibility and he's almost 20 years old. He's starting school in about two weeks and he hardly takes care of her. *sigh*...

I spent around 50$ on her for things because I thought we're going to keep her permanently... I guess all these things has gone to waste...

Today was my last day of having fun...

My friends and I were suppose to go to a Spanish restaurant for lunch called "Etoile du Sud" but they were going to open at 5pm everyday so we walked around to see the different restaurants and we went to a "Peruvienne" restaurant and the food was so cheap!! With 13$, you get a big plate... Unfortunatly, I didn't even eat the half of it... Good thing that I didn't order anything for my sister, she was eating on different plates and my cousins were helping me eat it... One friend in particular only eat 1/8 of it. LOL... This is how big the meal is. So I already spent 17.62$ + 2.65$ (tips) = 20.27$. + (bus tickets) 17.80$ = 38.07$

After lunch, we went to the arcade to play bowling at the second floor and I paid 10$ + 8$ (for two drinks) + 2$ (for my sister) = 20$ spending.

I spent 58.07$ Today. I enjoyed my day but I felt like something is missing in my life... Not a boyfriend but something in me feel incomplete. Maybe I wasn't suppose to go out and have fun. I have something to do at home.

My challenge has gone to 644$! I saved money with coupons,tips and avoid impulse buying. I also quit some bad habits for a little while... Trying to make it permanete. Also, I decided to stop using the computer at home. My dad is annoying me with : Why the computer have problem? Why? Why? It's all your fault that the computer has a virus!! I'm using the library starting now... And I'm using my home when it's something really important.

I'll try to update as often of my savings and such later on next week...

That's a lot of money @.X"... I should definetely cut down on food and clothes. I save a lot on bus tickets since I don't go out often, more like twice a month usually.

I hope that in 2007, I'll cut down on food and clothes mostly. For now I guess it's a good start to track my spending for a year. New expenses will come this year because I recently got a dog (Strawberry)as a gift from my bro' vet friend. Her old master wanted to kill her because of some odd reasons... The dog fur was falling and the master got paranoid. I forgot what kind of dog it is but it's a pure kind, not mix... fascinating. She's six months old and she's very sweet!! She loves playing and everytimes she sees someone, she jumps on that person! It's cute but could get annoying at times. So yeah, I'm ready to cut down on most of my expenses to take care of the dog... But my brother is the one who's responsible for her since he wants her to stay.

I'm in charge of taking her for a walk every morning at 7 am and he's in charge for the 6pm every afternoon.

I volunteer to buy her treats and a basket for her. I'm going to buy them today and my brother buying the rest. I don't know how my brother going to pay for the veterinary visits but it's his expense so I shouldn't care.

Anyways... Today spending is 7.19$ for Tim Hortons, I bought muffins, hot chocolates and cookies for my family and cousins. I bought 8.90$ for six bus tickets and another 10.19$ for internationl stamps. Total spending is 26.28$. O.O"... I have to watch my spending. I need to buy dog treats and a basket so it might add up for today... *sigh* way too much spending these days.
