Too poor to buy a digital camera

I can't help it but to say this but... I am too poor to buy myself a digital camera =(. Everytime I receive my paycheck it goes somewhere. Either in my challenge money or in my mutual funds. I have never feel that poor since... I work once a week at 3 to 9 pm. *sigh* =( I want a digital camera before June so I can take pictures of my friends and share with you guys. *sigh*

I'm going to try to talk with a coworker of mine that work twice a week on 3 to 11 pm, to switch with one of her eight hours shift. It would make a few dollars of a difference and I will set up a plan to save my money for a camera but... Where will I have 300$ in less than two months? >.

    it's funny becase, I too want an digital camera. Some times I feel too poor...my extra cash goes to my challenge/new home or other savings. I guess saving is just more important

    Have you tried Freecycle or EBay...you can get a used camera for pretty cheap. The new 7 meg cameras are nice but most people use their really expensive digital cameras to take basic 50k pix to post online or email. Also, if you try out some free/cheap used cameras you will be able to figure out what you like/dont like about digital cameras before you spend an arm and a leg on it.

    A camera is a nice thing to have. Save up the money though. You can do it. Are there other things you can do for extra money such as babysitting and such? Just a thought! Good luck!Smile

    Yeah, I'm the same way, except I have really fortunate to have generous parents.

    Incidentally, if this is just for the web, a low megapixel camera will do just fine. If you shop around, you can find a nice Canon Powershot for as little as $150. Takes terrific pictures too.
