Today, I worked at Tim Hortons which may be my last time because next week I'm taking a day off from work so it makes two weeks. My boss said that the week after next, if he needs me, he'll let me know.

Technically, I might not work at Tim Hortons anymore starting today. I could always come back since I'm already well trained. Anyways, I don't see that comming anytime soon.

I went to train at the sushi stand today at 4 to 5:30pm. I couldn't stay longer because I have to go to a charity event.

I learn a few things here and there. The boss's husband said I'm good especially with customer. Also, I am always smiling and willing to learn. It's pretty funny. All the tedious jobs that I had done in the past has pay off. I have many experiences!

I started working at my dad's place since I was 7 years old till 16 years old. I worked at a fruits and vegetables stand at age 16 for a month next to my aunt's motel. I worked at a cashier in a restaurant for six months. Then, I work at Tim Hortons for a year and a month. That's a lot of experience acquire through the years. Man, I can't wait to attend the charity event as a volunteer next Saturday and Sunday!

Yes!! I called my boss to tell him I'm quitting the job. He was okay with that. He asked me if I can give him two weeks notice and if I'm going to work this weekend. I'm okay with that.

I guess he doesn't appreciate my service or he knows that I'm busy with school and that I don't represent much to him. Ah well. Screw him! I'm free! The hours are good but the pay will not be much since I'm working only Saturday at my soon-to-be-new job from 10 am to 5 pm.

Last Tuesday, I saw someone who I just met a few days ago at her workplace. She worked in a sushi stand at a shopping mall and she asked me if I want to work there. I was interested in making sushis so I told her okay. I met the boss and she likes me. She fired one today just so she could hire me.

Why she wants me? Well, I can speak French and English well enough. I'm also 18 and act pretty mature. She is willing to give me friday 4 to 9 pm, Saturday 10 am to 5pm and Sunday 12 to 5 pm. I'm really intested although I'm quite scare of telling my boss that I want to quit. I already asked him to give me once a week and I also asked two days off next weekend. If I tell him I'm quitting. He might get angry. I mean, I work at his place for a year already so it is a good reference in my cv.

Mmmm... I guess I'll tell him that my dad wants me to work somewhere else where the hours are more flexible. It is true by the way. ._." But who can beat the 3 to 9 pm on a Saturday?

Another thing is, the boss is really nice. I'm going to be working in a little stand so it will be a big change for me. I'm used to work in a big place and wearing their uniform. At the sushi stand, I can wear jewelries and wear some of my own clothes. The pay won't be as good as Tim Hortons but it is more relax. Not to mention I get to make sushis!! XD

Everytime I have my moments of wanting to talk about guys that I've seen which is rare but it often last for an hour max. My coworkers think I'm boy crazy. Well I like looking at guys because I'm a female and straight (obviously ._.') but I don't talk about them 24/7 and I rarely talk about them.

Anyways, I said I saw the back of a guy in my swimming class and he has a nice back. Then I talk about his athletic body and his good looks then I talk about another guy in the same class and his body is nice too lol... Well, I like talking about my little adventure with the (innocent adventures) once awhile but it doesn't make me boy crazy. Maybe talking for a least an hour is not such a good idea lol... But I swear that it's the first time I notice a guy body. It was so tone!! Okay I'll stop ^.^'!

So yeah... I got 15$ of tips today.

My boss finally gave me a day of the week to work. Next week, I'm going to work Sunday only from 3 to 11 pm. He got pissed when I ask him for a Saturday instead and to finish till 9 because he has been receiving numerous requests from college and university coworkers to work once a week. Ah well. I don't mind too much but it would be great to reduce it to 6 hours a week so I can sleep and do my homework and not be too tired at my Knowledge in the Ancient world class on Monday.

At least, I can keep my job for now. Although, I would like to not work anymore. I've seen so many teenagers that don't work and they get good grades. Wish I have that much time and a weekend of no school + no work sound great but I want the money. XD I've been working at 8 years old. Although the job my parents gave me when I was little wasn't that much but it would be great to not have to work anymore for awhile and experience life without working again. That day might come but I need to feed my dream of traveling too.

I'm suppose to hang out with a friend tomorrow but the supervisor asked me to work on that day last Tuesday. She literally beg me to work so I gave in. *sigh* It would have been a spend day tomorrow but turn out I'm going to make money.

Now, I need to do my homework early now. I don't essays to hang in in about two weeks.

Next week, I'm getting twice a week again at work. Man... I guess it's not possible to change this month. *sigh* I'll try to manage my time now I guess.

I'm getting my paycheck tomorrow. It might be one of the last big paycheck (Around 300$) I'll get for a while. Ah well... I don't need to make a lot of money now. I should study !

I called my boss on Friday and I asked him if I can work less hours because I want to concentrate on school.

He was okay with that so I should see a change of my schedule next week or so. I hope I'll get it soon though. Mid-term exams are coming really fast and I have essays to write for the end of the month.

The supervisor called me today to go to work at another Tim Hortons at 3 to 9 pm.

It was pretty weird to work at another place other than the place that I'm used to but I learn pretty quick how to do certain things and the cash register is not hard to understand. The cash register is way way more advance than my work place lol. Well I like working there although everything is pretty small, especially the kitchen. I'm probably used to my place. Everything is far away and I always have to work to get it.

Today tip is 19$. The pay is really good at the place that I worked today. Better than where I work. I'm going to add it in my challenge money.

I decided that I will help out my dad's grocery after my class at 4pm to 7pm. At the same time, earn money to get my 4K goal this month if I can. I don't bother waiting for the guy anymore... But I kept my words that I'm going to be at the grocery store more often this month. So it's his call. I'm not going to be madly in love with him. It's breaking my concentration from my precalculus class and I hardly know him anyways.

Yesterday I was working like usual on 3pm to 11pm.

The old customer whom I've been talking to for a long time now is starting to freak me out. I was taking his order like usual and I knew what he wants in his coffee since he always say the usual. I told him the total price and he said to me in French : Baah! I don't care about price! It means nothing to me! I want to talk about love. I was a little cluless but I laugh a little because I thought it was a joke. He asked me about my bf and I talked about him and everything. He then asked me if my bf makes love with me in Spanish. I was shocked but to be polite, I keep smiling and said : I don't know hehe... Then I quickly said bye. He sat at another place, somewhere where he can see me and he was looking at me.

I went to the back and I was so traumatized. My two coworkers said that he does that to everyone and one coworker said that before, they were talking like she does with a few customers, she was telling him that she is going camping with his bf this weekend and he said : So you are going to fuck with your bf all weekend?! She reacted the same way as I did without the laugh and after this accident, she ignores him whenever he comes over. All she does is take his order and go.

God... After this accident, I am not talking to him like I used to anymore. This old pervert is freaking me out. EEEWww. He knows that I'm 18 and he talked to me about this!! Aaarg, I feel like punching him so badly.

One of my coworker left at the beginning of July and another one replaced him two weeks ago.

The new guy is from Morocco and he just immigranted here so I was quite interested in talking to him because of his origin. He is really a hardworker and he wants to learn as much as he could but there is one problem... Whenever I talk to him about work, we end up arguing.

Yesterday at work, there was a rush at work so I asked him if he could make a bagel while I take the order, he said : Yes. So I thought, okay you make the bagel. I was half way through the order of a customer and he talks to me. I said : Wait! Wait! After I finished serving the customer, I came to him and he went away. I went to see him and he was so pissed. He said : I can't serve the client with an injury *show me his injured finger*! Don't you dare order me around anymore!!! I was confused and shocked at the same time. What was wrong exactly? I tried talking to him after an hour and a half and before I start anything, I said that I respect him and that I didn't treat him as a slave or anything but I was stress and that was the reason why I react like that. He doesn't want to listen to it and he didn't make much sense to me. Another of my coworker said to him : Wait till you go in the front, you'll see how it's like. He said : No! I will never be like that!! I told my coworker who just talked to him : Well just forget it... He'll understand it later. After another hour while I was on my break, he apologized and he said he doesn't want any tension between us. I said I was okay with that and I tried explaining to him that when we're stress, we have to act like the customer is our priority.

Our second argument, we tried to advoid it as much as possible. When we talked to me about the tips that he should be getting soon. I just talked to him about my concern that the boss wants him to do three things. He has to know the cash register, the sandwich counter and the baker in the afternoon. We almost got into an argument. To be honest, I don't even know half of what he was talking about because he seems to find the way I talked to him like I was insulting him.

I decided it's better not to talk work with him or else, I'm going to start disliking him more. I don't think I want to train him anyways. It's better that my other coworker train him.

Today at work there weren't a lot of customers due to the weather today. We had a snow storm around 6 pm. My coworker and I have 20$ tip money today. Quite unusual for a harsh day but it was still good for us. Also, I learned a lot of things today... There was a customer that was really rude with me. He ordered muffin and coffee, I thought he was going to eat it here so I put it on the table. He said : Hey! I'm taking out. Put it on a bag! I was like : Oh... Okay. I was pissed at the same time because he had no right to be rude with me but I have to suck up. I can't do what I did yesterday.

When he was gone, my coworker told me that the guy that I just served was an ass. I thought so too. He still gives tips anyways. I just learned to not take it personaly, some customers have major problems and we, as worker must always say : The customers are always right. When they are not always right. Anyways... I am here for the money and the food =P. Hehe.

Today I didn't spend any money (1$), I cleaned my clothes (1$) and I got 44$ as tips this week. More than usual (30$ is the usual $ I get). So I'm going to add 14$ to my challenge.

Yesterday at work, there were a couple of high school kids probably in their seven to nine grade making fun at my coworker and me by talking nonesense. They dress like an adult but I could see they are kids just by looking at their face and the way they act. The boys were stupid to start with, they said hi to my coworker like they were friends or something and my coworker was like: Do I know you? And the little boy said : Euh.. No.

When they order, the little boys were like : You know we go to camp right? They gave us like 50 ice capuchinos there. The girls were laughing hard. I answer back saying : What? Ok are you going to order? And they answer back : Yeah yeah.

I tried keeping my patience but it was too much that one of the boy and the girl came back to get wipe cream on their coffee which they didn't ask for it in the first place. The same little boy was pissing me off again saying : Hey, we are friends so I'm going to (I didn't listen to the rest)... I was like : What? He answered back : I want a new one. I decided to ignore him and I said : Suivant (in French). The customers on the back were looking at me like : O.O Well it was the first time I did that but I know I was wrong. But hey, I didn't care if I get fired at first, I just feel like pissing them off by not serving them. In the end, my coworker served them instead.

Worst of all, they only know English and they think full of themselve. I thought it was stupid of them to not learn French too. Since the majority of the population in Quebec speak French. I wish I'll see them on the street or something and punch the little boys face for being an ass to us.

Anyways, a little update on my challenge money. I bought my lunch with me in school (4$), I did not spend any money (1$), I exercise (2$) and on friday, I bought my lunch (4$).

I was at work today and I just remembered that I have two orals next week with my two team mates so I called them and nobody was home. I thought it was strange... I asked my coworker what was so special today and he said : You didn't know? It's hockey night! I was like what? I didn't know my friends watch hockey but... Yeah I guess the hockey fever was today... No wonder I saw some hockey shirts last week at school. Ah well. I'll send them an email tonight.

At the same time, another coworker told me about the girl (from my previous post a long time ago) that she tried to get us in trouble by writting in our schedule that the morning shift stayed for 15 minutes more so it will look like we (the afternoon shifts) are always late. She was frustrated for some unknown reasons. I thought at first that it was funny and childish. I mean what the heck? For her age it doesn't seem right. So yeah, she got caught because another coworker who used to work the afternoon shift told our manager about the situation and she didn't do it again after that. It's still funny though, she's older than me by three years and she acts like that. By the way I heard she studied in Human relation where she solves conflict... I don't think the programme she's studying is right for her, I mean she's always the one starting conflicts with everybody. So yeah, that's why it's funny.

Anyways, yeah it's a weird day today at work and I like it hehe... ^.^"

By the way, I'll work on Easter monday... I'm going to be earning extra money... Possibly get extra pay because it's a holiday.

I worked yesterday 3 to 11pm. I was suppose to finish at 9pm but I switch with another girl because she's fed up that she has to finish late.

I was so happy to see an old collegue of mine from my old job at the restaurant, he too has quit around the beginning of December because the boss has insulted him and he has enought of working there. Now he's working as a tele-marketing and he's making less money than before but he's quite content although he's going to return to work at another restaurant as a waiter anytime soon.

Around 10 pm, I saw another old collegue of mine who still works there as a counter staff. Well I was happy but not happy, I don't know if he notices it but he looks quite sad too. I don't know really. We didn't really talk just a hi and he orders his drinks with his girlfriend and left. I was kinda busy too so I didn't have the chance to chat.

It was still nice to see both of them though. I'm glad I quit my old job or else I would've been miserable there longer. Working at Tim Hortons is not bad at all, I was fooling around with my collegue yesterday at work by joking around with him and slapping his butt. Haha

I need to study math tonight for Tuesday's exam... I just came back from work and I was dead tired, I'm going to start doing it after I'm done with this blog and site for the day.

Today I spent 5.99$ on food at my work yesterday and today. I would like to bring my own food at work but I want to try their meals first so I can talk with the customers about the different foods and which are better. Oh yeah, I have to enjoy the food and the 50% off there xD. I know I could save more than a hundred dollars a year by bringing my own lunch like a coworker of mine. I brought my bottle of water to work and I only bought a sandwish that I had made myself there and I have save a dollar on that. That's cool. I'm thinking of bringing my own drinks from now on. I'll be starting little by little.

I'm going to finish my training next week!! Aaah... Spent two months of training. I hate that!! I wish I had worked two times a week to finish it in a month and now I regret it. Anyways, I'm getting better at my job and I didn't do a lot of mistakes so they started trusting me working alone. Eum... I wonder what I'll do with my first tip next week, I'll put it in my challenge money x)!

Today : I woke up early 2$ and I didn't spend today... Well I forgot to pay at my job so that makes 1$ for no spend day. xD That makes 156$

It's really windy outside now. On my way to work, the wind was so strong that I felt my body lifting through the air, it was that strong. Scary. xD

Today at work was not bad but I had some few problems handling customers with big orders and I sometime forgot their orders.There's even some customers that got attitude problem. I was nice enought to let it go until a guy wanted to buy twelve bagels and all I knew was toasted or normal ones, he gave me a big "hello, are you stupid or something" attitude, and I had it so I said : Look, I'm new here and I don't know everything here, so I'm going to ask someone! I'm usually the quiet non spoken one but I was getting really pissed. The one that pissed me off the most is a lady, don't know if she's Indian or Arabic, but she was speaking very soft and I couldn't hear her well. She orders timbits and she was pointing at the things she wanted and she said : Are you looking where I'm pointing?! I said yes but the direction she's pointing, there's so many timbits, just name them damn it! Read the damn tag on my shirt and it said " In training"! That means I'm new and I'm trying to learn how the system works here. Don't expect me to know everything just like that.

I got my second paycheck today and the boss asked me to work on Sunday's too so I can finish my training a lot faster and I agree with him... But the way he talked to me was weird... Like he thinks I don't understand French that well. Okay, I admit I don't talk much because I'm a shy person but whatever you say, I understand! Don't need to give me a broad explanation about why I should work twice a week, I understand. Geez... Everyone at work think I came from an asian country because of my accent, it's neither Chinese or Quebec accent, it's my own accent god damn it!

Anyways, one of my coworkers who's working after my shift is going back to school soon to become a nurse. Haha, I can't picture him as a nurse but he's funny and sweet. I love his gorgeous blue eyes, everytime I look at it, I start to laugh. Yes weird reaction, I know. I would like to date him but he's 24 and he's not my type of guy. Ah well, he is cute though.

So yeah... I spend 5.17$ for breakfast and lunch there, not bad though. I tried their Timbreakfast saucisage, a bottle of orange juige. For lunch, I ate a chicken wrap with a bottle of punch juice. I was not really full but it was enought to keep me moving through the day.

My money challenge of today is... Wake up early 2$. That makes 202$!!

I'm interested in the job that they offer as part of the formation but it requires a lot of training when I'm there. It seems attractive but I'm not really willing to spend two weekend and two tuesday night to serve there because I may have a lot of homework, not to mention my work at Tim Hortons, also, I'm not willing to spend summers in a camp since I won't get to spend a lot of time with my friends... I remember I joined the Cadet air three years ago and I hate it but this one is way different because I get to do something I like, food is included, we don't just stand around and do nothing, I get to learn something that I'm interested... Don't forget that I get pay 80$/day there, so that makes 10 000$/ year..Still it looks pretty flexible for most people but not me since I can get tons of homework a weekend and another, I get none. I'm not willing to quit my job at Tim Hortons either, I just started a few weeks ago and I like it here so far.

If I join the military as a reservist, I get a lot of benefits... Maybe I could join in the summer to see what it likes. I'm not much of a fan of the discipline but to get to drive a military car seems wicked hehe.. or learn to cook good nutrition foods... or maybe work in an office. Tim Hortons doesn't offer much but the 50% off and the tips, not to forget the employers are easy going.

I learned how to make sandwiches hehe... I bought lunch there also and I made my own sandwich!! Hehe!! Chicken wrap + orange juice w/ the 50% off = 3.04$. I saved half of this price. Maybe I should put it on my challenge money the 3$ that I just saved and another 1$ for waking up early.

Challenge total is : 2$ for good mark on october 17th and 4$ for today.

That makes : 196$

I got my paycheck for last week work. I only work 6.50 hours so I made 49.40$ with tax already deducted.

Now I have to put the check in the bank... Aaah, why don't they put it directly in the bank. What a pain.

Aah well, I can admire my first paycheck for now. It may not seem a lot for you guys but I only work one day last week and I got sick because of... *Ahem* girl stuff. So yeah. I'm just going to wait another two weeks to get an even better pay... Hopefully, I'm going to work a full 8 hours next week and my paycheck will have 16 hours of work done which make... around 120$ with tax already deducted. Yes!

Yesterday work was so fun. I worked 3pm to 11pm with two coworkers, a guy and a girl. The supervisor who's training me was the guy, he was so cool and I had a fun night, although a lot of bad things happend there but I'm going talk about it later because I have to finish all my homework for this week.

At 6:45 am, I went to work for the first time in two months.

When I arrived there, I was looking for a superviser named Karine to train me. She was on the cash register taking orders from the customer, so I waited a few secondes then I got impatient and decided to tell her that I have arrived. She ignore me, so I figured out that I was bothering her and waited a little longer, but then, there was a never ending line of people, so I got a little more impatient and asked another girl working on the sandwich counter to tell her that I'm here. Another girl who was working with her in the sandwich counter asked Karine what she's going to do with me at the moment, and she told me to put on my uniform that she has given me 5 min later and start changing, and Catherine will take care of my training.

After I changed, Catherine showed me how to put milk,sugar and coffee in the cup. At first, I wasn't at ease, but after 30 min, I got the hang of it. Then they showed me how to use the cash register, all I know is the coffee button, but after spending more than five hours in it, I started taking orders a little faster and a little more naturally. Can't say I was doing great at first, I have made a lot of mistakes in the sandwich order that mess the people who's working in the sandwish counter mess up... Remember Christina, ask people if they're "pour emporter ou pour ici"!! Hehe... Also, it's not totally my fault in a way... There was so MANY buttons in it and all sort of colors! Also, I was not really chatty with the employers there... More known to be a shy girl who doesn't talk much or ask questions a lot who take working a little more seriously than the others. Well I'm okay lol... If I have problems with stuff there, I wouldn't hesitate to ask.

Around 10:15 am, Julie (the boss's daughter) and I had our little 15 min break, we chatted a little bit and she told me how it work in Tim Horton, she even told me that if I want to eat something here, I'll have to pay at the end of the day with the 50% discount. I knew that already because my friend told me about it, so I just took a muffin and an orange juice, so that makes 1.50$ for both... That's not much but I didn't have any money on me and I didn't plan to eat there...Oh yeah, I didn't pay either hehe ^.^'... They'll probably take out of my first pay. Ah well. >.

Yep... I start working on Saturdays starting next saturday... Can we say a YEAH??!! Oh yeah!! 7 am to 3 pm, after that, I'll do my homework and study... How flexible =). The boss is pretty easy going but I shouldn't abuse him too much like my old boss. Like taking a break for two weeks because of exams (the hours of work are bad, I have no choice but to take two weeks off)

Anyways, I'll swear to myself to work hard and keep my job for awhile... Not to forget, have the chance to work full-time in the summer... Yeah, yeah, I know I'm thinking too far, it wouldn't hurt to plan things to keep me positive. My friend who used to work there said that the job is the easiest thing to do but it gets a little repetitive. As long as I get to have contact with customers and improve my social skills, I'll be alright.

I'll keep you guys post about the job. You just have to wait next saturday "after 3 pm"... =P Hehe!!

Yay! Tim Horton has hired me! Woohoo... Hours are way more flexible. I work on Saturdays 7am to 3pm and on school breaks. I'll probably start this saturday or next for training and I do hope I'll get to learn fast so I can get my share of the tips... Hehe...

My dad was okay with the hours because it's not too late compare to my old job where I have to work 5pm to 11pm twice a week and it's very very close to my house, like 10 min of walking to get there. I hate my old job because I have to take the bus an hour early to get there, the hours are too late, it's not flexible enough, I can't change my job into a counter staff because they're already too much, the pay is bad and the job is boring in general. Oh yeah it's also my first job, I did a lot of mistakes that I don't want to remember anymore XP...

I guess that's it for now. I'll keep you guys update on my new job ! =)

Finally!! I've been waiting to get an interview in Tim Horton for three years and it's already the third time I handed my c.v to the same place. I can't wait tomorrow, and I'm pretty nervous... I hope I'll get the job and I'll like it.

I handed my c.v like 20 minutes ago and then, they called me for to meet him tomorrow at 4:30 pm. I can work on Fridays and Saturdays... Yes!!
